Happy New Year Ninja!
Another year in the books. Time for a new beginning. That’s what they say right?
Twenty twenty-two is going to be a great year. To make sure of that, we’re going to have to make a few updates to the dojo. Ms. Billie spoke with almost everyone before the break, but we want to make sure everyone knows what is going on.
We will be moving our classes into our private home dojo. The address is 4020 Cadiz Road, Hopkinsville. Just a short trip from the old location.
This means we are a fully private facility, which changes some things on the front and backside. All for the better.
First and foremost, our home dojo is smaller, so classes will have a hard limit of 12 students in each age group – Ninja Kids, Youth Taijutsu, and Adult Taijutsu. Everyone who is currently a student in good standing will have a spot reserved for January classes. The limited nature of our class spots means we will require tuition to be paid no later than the 15th of each month. If that conflicts with your budgeting, please let us know. If you already have a prior arrangement with us for your payment date, it has already been moved to the new system.
Mr. Dusty & Ms. Billie have each been offered day jobs. Because of this, we are going to be limiting class times to Tuesdays and Thursdays. Here are the new 2022 class times –
- Ninja Kids (3-6 year olds) – 5:30-6:00pm
- Taijutsu (Ages 7+) – 6:10-7:00pm
- Kenjutsu (Japanese Swords) – 7:00pm
Going into 2022 we want to give everyone a quick reminder of the dojo dress code. The following is a list of dojo appropriate attire for safe and effective training –
- Full Gi (training uniform)
- Gi pants + black shirt or martial arts themed shirt
- Black pants and top
- Black shorts and top
- Black leggings and top
If you haven’t downloaded our dojo app yet, you need to. It is the best tool you can have to stay in touch with the dojo. It even has access to our digital pro-shop and online training videos.
To download the app, navigate to elementsofselfdefense.com on your phone or tablet and click the pop-up.
We want to thank you for your continued support and for being part of our dojo family.
